TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Lindsay Pinegar, 21, plead guilty on Monday for her involvement in a deadly hit and run.
In October of 2009, 13-year-old Nathan Lawson was hit and killed while walking alongside a road in North Terre Haute.
For more than a year police tried to find the driver of the car that hit the boy.
Police say Pinegar hit Lawson, drove off and kept the secret for more than a year.
Officials believe her stepfather covered her car in deer blood and fur to make it look like she hit a deer, not a child.
Pinegar plead guilty to failure to stop after an accident resulting in death.
She'll be sentenced December 21.
