DAVIESS CO., Ind. (WTHI) - At approximately 12:47 a.m. Thursday the Indiana State Police (ISP) were called to investigate a crash that had occurred at C.R. 150 W. and C.R. 300 N., by the Washington City Police Dept. and the Daviess Co. Sheriff’s Dept.
The initial investigation revealed that a 1995 Cadillac Deville heading northbound on C.R. 150 W. was being pursued by a Washington Police Officer.
The driver, Jarret D. Whitehead, 25, of Washington attempted to turn east onto C.R. 300 N. and lost control.
The vehicle slid sideways and impacted the embankment on the north side of the road.
Whitehead was not wearing his safety belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.
He was airlifted from the scene to St. Mary’s hospital in Evansville, IN.
His condition is unknown at this time.
