PARKE CO., Ind. (WTHI) - One man was arrested for a hit-and-run that happened in Rosedale, IN, early Sunday morning, which sent another man to the hospital to be treated for serious bodily injures.

The Parke Count Sheriff’s Office received a call about a physical altercation between two males outside the tavern in Rosedale.  The caller also revealed that one man was ran over by a car, driven by the other man.

The driver then fled the scene.

Deputies arrived on the scene and began their investigation.

They interviewed witnesses and the victim, Clifford D. Kemper II, 30, of Rosedale, and found that Kemper was in a physical altercation with Allan R. Hyatte, 57, of Rosedale, when Hyatte struck Kemper with a vehicle and drove off.

Deputies were able to determine that Hyatte was driving a 1994 Maroon Oldsmobile, and found Hyatte and the vehicle at his residence.

Hyatte was arrested on charges of Leaving the Scene of a Serious Injury Accident and Criminal Recklessness, and is currently being held at the Parke County Jail on a $10,000 Cash-Only Bond.
