TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Police arrested a college student from Indianapolis Tuesday, after they say he led them on a chase through Terre Haute.
Indiana State Police said officers tried to pull over Curtis Harris around 9 p.m. Tuesday, after they saw him driving without headlights near Lafayette and Locust. Officers said Curtis began to slow down, then sped away from police.
Police chased Harris down 1 st Street, the wrong way on Cherry Street, and south on 3 rd Street to the Honey Creek Mall parking lot, where the chase ended.
Harris was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and False Informing. Harris was released on his own recognizance.
