TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Terre Haute man was arrested after police discovered him exposing himself to the public, which was followed by a brief chase that ended at a local high school.
On Thursday afternoon, Terre Haute Police Officers responded to a call to dispatch about a naked man exposing himself to the public.
When Police arrived to the scene, they discovered James Hartmann, 58, naked, fondling himself in the back of his car. According to THPD after Hartmann realized he was discovered, he fled the scene.
The chase started on N. 11th St. and ended at a Terre Haute South Vigo High School’s parking lot on the city’s south side.
THPD said Hartmann’s BAC was .24, which is three times the legal limit of .08. They also said he tested positive for cocaine.
Hartmann will face multiple charges, including Public Indecency and Operating While Intoxicated.
