Clarence Sandifer was arrested on shooting charges in connection to a shooting on Terre Haute's north side that resulted in one man being airlifted to an Indianapolis Hospital.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A suspect involved in a shooting on Terre Haute's north side was arrested Friday afternoon, after he shot another person and fled the scene Sunday night.
Police say the suspect, Clarence Sandifer, 36, (shown above) pinned the victim, Rodney Johnson, to the ground, pulled out a gun and shot him in the lower chest twice.
Sandifer was tackled by others.
That's when he dropped the gun and took off.
Terre Haute Police Detectives have informed News 10 that they arrested Sandifer at 4:20 p.m. on S. 9th St. in Terre Haute.
Sandifer has been initially Attempted Murder and Aggravated Battery.
