DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A Wednesday morning home explosion has been determined by police to be caused by a malfunction in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
On Wednesday morning, Daviess County Police received a report of an explosion at a residence at 1938 W 300 S in Washington, Indiana.
When fire officials arrived on scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames and the owners of the home couldn’t be located.
Methamphetamine lab materials were found at the scene by officials and they secured a search warrant for the property.
Police found a man named Chris Spalding at a residence in Pike County later that evening with burn injuries. Spalding was transported to Wishard Hospital burn unit due to his condition.
