Man sentenced for fatal DUI crash

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Wabash Valley man was sentenced to a decade in prison Thursday for his part in a fatal 2012 drunk driving crash.

Police said Martin Cenfetelli was drunk when he ran a red light at the intersection of 13 th and College in Terre Haute and hit a motorcycle driven by Jessie Hoke, 22. Hoke died in the crash, and Cenfetelli was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Resulting in Death.

On Thursday, Cenfetelli was given a 14 year sentence. Of those 14 years, Cenfetelli would spend ten years in prison, one year on work release and the rest of the time on formal probation.

During his probation, Cenfetelli is ordered to serve 500 hours of community service, including giving talks about his crime to groups in the community. His driver’s license is also suspended for five years, court officials said.
