MONTGOMERY, Ind. (WTHI) - On Monday morning, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Hillcrest Supply Inc. at 6134 E. 200 N in Montgomery, IN, about a person who had fallen from a grain bin and was unresponsive.
And investigation revealed that Harry S. Stoll, 56, of Montgomery had just finished loading a feed truck, when he stepped up onto a 9 inch wide "I" beam above the truck.
The truck pulled away, and Stoll lost his balance and fell 16-feet to the ground, and suffered massive head trauma.
The Daviess County Coroner Dr. Steven Cullen pronounced Stoll deceased at the scene.
An autopsy, scheduled at a later time, will be held at Brocksmith and Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery.
First Responders personnel from the Daviess Co. Sheriff’s Office, Southwest Medical Ambulance Service and Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
