Man charged with abusing 6-7 year old

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Wabash Valley man appeared in court Wednesday, accused of sexually abusing a young girl.

Police arrested Michael Brown, 39, on a warrant December 28. Brown faces felony charges of Child Molestation and Dissemination of Harmful Matter to Minors.

The charges stem from allegations that Brown inappropriately touched a young girl, exposed himself to the girl and showed pornographic videos to the girl between February 16, 2011 and July 12, 2012. During that time period, the girl would have been either six or seven years old, according to court documents.

Brown described the allegations as “false” while speaking in court Wednesday.

He is being held in the Vigo County Jail on a $30,000 cash bond.
