Local Credit Union robbed Friday morning

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Authorities continue to search for a suspect involved in a morning bank robbery.

Just before 11:30 Friday morning, police say a man robbed the Vigo County Federal Credit Union located at 128 S. 8th St. in Terre Haute.

According to scanner traffic, the suspect is described as a thin black male in his 30's.

He was last seen wearing dark pants, a blue shirt and a hat, carrying a blue bag.

Witnesses say he indicated he was armed at the time of the robbery, but a weapon was never displayed.

The man reportedly ran from the scene.

The suspect did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

K9s were brought in to track down the suspect.
