TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - The man who illegally sold the gun that shot and killed Terre Haute Police Officer Brent Long says he’ll plead guilty on federal charges.
Federal Court documents say Scott Griffy will admit to selling a gun to a known felon, as well as illegally possessing a gun with a felony conviction.
Authorities say Griffy sold the gun to Shaun Seely who then used it to shoot Officer Long in July 2011. Seely then took his own life.
Heather Elkins, Jesse Padgett II, and Jenny Torres also filed plea agreements on charges of lying to federal agents.
All four will be back in federal court in December.
