Crime Stoppers report for May 16, 2013

This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in a burglary in southern Vigo County.  According to detectives from the Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, April 27 ^th at approximately 8:45 PM someone shoved open a locked back door to a residence and stole several items.  Take a look at this surveillance video that captured the break in.   Because of the lighting, it is impossible to make out any facial details but there are some clues that may help.  The suspect is wearing a dark navy or black hoodie and in one frame of the video you can clearly see that he is wearing some type of athletic pants with white stripes down the side.  After several attempts, the burglar shoves open the door and enters the home where he ransacked the home and took several items including jewelry.  If you have any information that may help identify this person – Call our tip line at 238-STOP or toll free 800-222-TIPS or online at wthitv.com.  Remember all tips to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and you could receive up to $1000 if your tip leads to an arrest.  For Crime Stoppers and News10 – I’m Sheriff Greg Ewing.
