SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTHI) - Criminal charges were filed Tuesday afternoon against the Sullivan County man suspected of being behind one of the worst animal cruelty cases many have ever seen.

Prosecutor Bob Hunley said he levied six misdemeanor cruelty to an animal counts against Joshua Ryan Patterson, of South Main Street, Pleasantville.

Last week, authorities raided the property behind the mobile home Hunley rents and found, according to investigators, three dog carcasses, the skulls of two dead dogs, and two surviving dogs, one of them having fed on his cage mate.

As of close of business time Tuesday, Josh Patterson still had not been arrested.
