TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Authorities have identified the body found at a Terre Haute apartment complex Wednesday.
Terre Haute Police Assistant Chief Shawn Keen tells News 10 that the body found was that of 47-year-old Guy Sutton, a double amputee, who was living in the apartment.
Late Wednesday night, police arrested Byron Sutton, 46, brother of the deceased, for altering a crime scene. Sutton is being held in the Vigo County Jail with a hearing scheduled for Friday.
Police say maintenance workers found the body of Sutton Wednesday, after getting complaints about a smell. Vigo County Coroner Roland Kohr said early indicators were that Sutton had been dead were several weeks.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
A cause of death has not yet been released, however an autopsy was conducted this morning.
