Robbery at First Neighbor Bank in Casey

CASEY, Ill. (WTHI) - Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob an Illinois bank Thursday.

Around 11 a.m., a man walked into the First Neighbor Bank in Casey, showed the teller a note implying that he had a weapon, then fled on foot, authorities said.

Police said there were no customers in the bank during the incident.

They describe the man as a light-skinned African American with some facial hair, wearing a Carhartt jacket, a black T-shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black baseball cap with a white logo.
