Couple charged with child molestation, video taping acts

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Dawn Timko was charged Thursday with five felonies, the same charges brought against her husband, Kevin Timko, on Wednesday.

The charges for each include child molestation, child exploitation, and criminal deviate conduct, all felonies.

Officials say Kevin and Dawn Timko would drug the girls and molest them at their home while babysitting them.

The acts, they say, were video taped and recorded onto DVD.

Police say the victims' mother initially thought her daughters were safe with the Timkos because they were family friends.

"Initially there was a report to the West Terre Haute Police Department from the mother of the victims, and that led to a full-fledged investigation," Vigo County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Rob Roberts said.

Kevin Timko is being held on $100,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed.

Dawn Timko is being held on $75,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed.

If convicted, each could face up to 108 years in prison.

They're both due back in court Monday.
