TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - WTHI wants to help kids around the Wabash Valley have a happy holiday season.
Volunteers sat outside our station collecting money for Bikes for Tykes. It is an Exchange Club of Terre Haute project that uses the money for bike kits. The bikes are put together by Rose-Hulman students and given to kids around the Wabash Valley. It costs only $50 per bike but any donation is accepted.
"When they see that first bike and when they get outside and get to ride that bike, I think that's an experience that these kids won't ever forget," co-chair of the Exchange Club of Terre Haute Karen Henderson said.
Donations can be made at any First Financial Bank until Dec. 15.
