TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - After a three-year disagreement, the Terre Haute International Airport accepted a million dollar settlement.
Back in 2006, two tornadoes damaged Ivy Tech's hangar, causing extensive damage to both the interior and the exterior.
The Terre Haute airport authority filed a lawsuit against Ivy Tech Community College to get the building cleaned up.
Now, the airport board members agreed to accept a $1.5 million settlement, and the airport looks to rehabilitate the building and get it back in service quickly.
"We're not saying they're at fault or we're at fault. It's just, you now, that it's done, let's take the money rebuild the building and open it back out," Terre Haute International Airport Director Dennis Wiss said. "Get some activity back at the airport, and let's just move forward ."
Wiss said the airport is looking to rent part of the building to anyone needing office space.
If you're interested in renting space, you're encouraged to contact the airport office .
