Relief for Toyota owners

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Toyota said they will begin fixing the gas pedals in recalled Toyota vehicles this week.

The Toyota dealer in Terre Haute expects to train their staff on the installation of the new pedals on Wednesday. Installation of the new parts is slated to begin on Friday or early next week.

"Toyota took the unprecedented move of shutting their plants down in order to allocate parts and supplies to the recall to take care of the customers that already own their vehicles first," GM of Toyota of Terre Haute Scott Jaeger said.
