Accident closes road south of Marshall

MARSHALL, Ill. (WTHI) - An early morning accident has closed Route 1 at Grand Turn Road in Clark County, Ill., which is just south of Marshall.
A semi driver told police he swerved to miss a deer, causing the crash just after 5:30 Friday morning.
The driver was trapped inside until emergency crews could free him.
As of 6:40 Central Friday morning, the road remained closed while crews cleaned up the scene.
