CLINTON, Ind. (WTHI) - A local man is behind bars for allegedly firing a gun inside his work-place.
Just after 5:30 Thursday evening, Indiana State Police and Vermillion County Sheriff's deputies were called to White Construction, located on South State Road 63 in Clinton.
They found an intoxicated man inside one of the exterior office trailers.
The man refused to come out, and threatened to harm himself, as well as officers.
Officers say the man is a current employee of White Construction, and was at his office, upset over family issues.
Police say he had two handguns, and allegedly fired one round off inside the trailer before officers arrived.
After a three hour stand-off, Rene A. Foli, 63, of Terre Haute surrendered to police.
Foli remains in the Vermillion County jail. He faces a charge of criminal recklessness.
