One Stop-Shopping Extravaganza. Shop the hallways of Union Hospital Clinton on Friday, November 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This special shopping day, sponsored by the Guild of Union Hospital Clinton, features many well-known vendors (Tastefully Simple, Longaberger, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Avon and many more). “Taking Control.” National Diabetes Awareness Month Dinner sponsored by the Union Hospital Diabetes Education Center and Sanofi Sponsored A1C Champions is Monday, November 5 at 6 p.m. at the Landsbaum Center Auditorium, 1433 N. 6 ½ Street. Prepared Childbirth Class. This popular series of six classes offers couples professional instruction and guidance to prepare for the childbirth experience. The classes focus on relaxation and breathing techniques for better concentration during labor and delivery. You will also learn the role of the labor partner, discuss routine hospital procedures, receive information on birth options and medications for labor and take a tour of the maternity unit. RTS Bereavement Services. Support group to help families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, tubal pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death. Advances in Knee Pain Relief. Flag Raising and Military Display. In honor of Veteran’s Day 2012, an honor guard will raise the American flag in front of Union East at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 12. The children from the Union Hospital Child Development Center will accompany with song. A display of Military items from staff and friends will be on view in the Green Room, lower level, Union West from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

L.I.F.E. Cancer Support Group. Please join us for this cancer support group meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 12. Breast-Feeding Class. This class offers new and expectant parents information, support and instruction on breast-feeding. Nursing infants are welcome. Types and use of breast pumps and the collection and storage of breast milk will also be discussed.
