TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local hospital revealed a new program to help get Wabash Valley residents breathing a little easier.

On Friday afternoon, officials at Union Hospital announced they will be offering a pulmonary rehabilitation program at the end of October.

The program is designed to help people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other breathing difficulties.

Hospital staff will take time each week to monitor and educate people on how to live the healthiest lifestyle possible, despite their condition.

Union staff are looking forward to making an impact in their own backyard.
