Flu season is fast approaching

WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTHI) - A busy season is creeping up on the Wabash Valley.

It’s going to be flu season, of course, and, according to the Center of Disease Control, taking precautions could save you from experiencing:

  • Fever* or feeling feverish/chills
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue (very tired)
  • Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

*It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.

One of the more popular options to help your immune system resist against getting sick is receiving a flu shot.

It may seem a little early to get one, but it never hurts to be prepared.

If you would like to get a flu shot, contact your doctor, or your local pharmacy to schedule a time to get your shot.
