TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local university bookstore wants its students to shop greener.
The bookstore at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will use recyclable shopping bags to replace plastic ones.
Last week, students, faculty and staff received a free reusable shopping bag to use at the bookstore and other local retailers.
"I think, you know, everybody's getting used to using recycled bags and this will be a good effort in attaining our goals in sustainability," director of administrative services Dan Wells.
Since 2007, Rose-Hulman has worked to neutralize greenhouse gas emissions and address the issue of global warming
