Pesticide Disposal Program to take place in Vigo County

VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - On Tuesday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m, the Office of Indiana State Chemists is sponsoring the Indiana Pesticide Clean Sweep Project.

During this time, you can dispose of weed killers, insecticides and other chemicals for free, up to 250 pounds.

Anything over that amount will cost you $2 per pound.

The event will take place at the Vigo County Fairgrounds and you must bring your chemicals in a labeled, leak-free and safe container.

You'll also need to fill out a short form and bring that with you as well.
