TERRE HAUTE, IND. (WTHI) - Valentines Day is three weeks away. Are you ready to celebrate with your special someone? If you are ready to start making plans consider this ensemble playing this year at Tilson Auditorium.

“Sounds of the Cinema,” by Presidio Brass, features classic and popular cinematic music from some of the best stories written: “2001: A Space Odyssey,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Moon River” and “West Side Story.”

“The Presidio Brass needs to be heard to be believed,” said John Lorge, principal horn for the San Diego Symphony. “Each of the members is a virtuoso on the instrument and music flows out of them like a stream.”

The orchestra has performed hundreds of concerts in 30 states.  Members have played with groups around the world, such as the London Philharmonic, the Moscow Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

They have also performed on countless soundtracks for video games and major motion pictures, while also teaching music education at several California colleges and universities.

This dynamic performance is part of Indiana State University’s Performing Arts Series. Presidio Brass performs at 7:30 p.m., on Feb. 14, 2013, in Tilson Auditorium.
