TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Losing weight is the number one resolution people make every year.
A big part of that is eating healthier, but an equal part is exercising.
Anytime Fitness in Terre Haute sees dozens of new people join the club around the beginning of the year.
However, many don't have success for three main reasons; they don't keep a good diet, they don't keep good form when exercising, or they don't know what exercises to do.
Trainer Evan Coale says one of the best ways to keep your resolution is to find a partner.
"When you're working out with someone else, or even a trainer, there's going to be motivation, there's gonna be push," said Evan. "If someone's doing more than you, you're going to try to at least do the same with them."
While at Anytime Fitness, I met Ryan.
Interestingly, at the start of 2012, Ryan made it his resolution to get fit.
He was successful and has been working out for a year; but it wasn't easy. Ryan said starting off was tough.
He wants people to know they'll be facing challenges, however, if they push through, the rewards will come.
"It's nothing but soreness the first couple of weeks, but then you slowly get in your routine and it gets easier and easier as you go," said Ryan.
