Voter registration deadlines

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - As candidates battle it out for your vote on the November ballot..

The deadline gets closer for you to make sure you're registered to vote.

The Indiana Secretary of State is beginning a new media campaign, aimed at getting people to register to vote.  It's being funded by the Help America Vote Act.

Here are the dates you need to remember:

In Indiana.. the deadline to register is October 4th.

And in Illinois.. you have until October 5th.

You can also register while you're "on the go."  The Indiana Secretary of State's office has a mobile site set up so you use your web enabled phone to register.  You can it by going to www.in.gov/sos .
