DALLAS (AP) — The man in line to lead American Airlines after a merger with US Airways expects to announce a new management team before closing the deal.

US Airways CEO Doug Parker also says he'll give current executives with Fort Worth-based American a chance to remain.

A video of Parker's comments was posted Wednesday by the union representing American Airlines pilots. He and other US Airways executives spoke to leaders of both pilot unions last week in Texas.

The companies on Feb. 14 announced they plan to merge and create the world's biggest airline. The deal hinges on approval by antitrust regulators, the judge handling American's bankruptcy case and shareholders of both companies.

American parent AMR Corp. filed for bankruptcy reorganization in 2011.
