TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A long standing local corporation adds to their family.

On Tuesday, First Financial Bank acquired seven branches and two drive up locations from Bank of America.

The branches are located in central and southern Illinois, including Charleston and Mattoon.

Under the agreement, First Financial will acquire over $250 million in deposits and $2.3 million in small business loans.

First Financial Bank officials say it was a natural move for the company and allows them to strengthen their presence in Illinois.

After this transaction, First Financial will have 37 branches in Illinois, and 36 in Indiana.
