CLAY CO., Ind. (WTHI) - Students at North Clay Middle School in Brazil learned about modern day living on a budget.
The students took part in an event called the Reality Store.
Event organizers put students in a real life scenarios, with the choice of family size, house size and others.
One of the interesting pieces was something like a chance wheel, where students spun the wheel with the possibility hitting a scenario that could be either good or bad.
For instance, one spin could land on your pet gets sick and you have to go to the vet, which would cost $100.
The goal is to teach the students about being budget savvy in a tough economy.
Organizers said it helps students learn more about what their parents might have to deal with on a day-to-day basis.
