TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) -

Every month, News 10 along with Plumber and Steamfitters Local 157 award people who make a difference in our community.

This month's award winner is Bob Baesler, owner of Baesler's Market in Terre Haute.

If you've ever been to Baesler's Market in Terre Haute you'll see Bob Baesler walking around making sure everything's running smoothly and talking to customers.

But it's what you don't see everyday that makes him an award winner.

Bob doesn't like the spot-light on him.

He'd rather talk about how his customers and employees help the community.

So, we got one of Bob's long-time cashiers to brag on him.

Debra Trout, explains, "he is very giving. He is thoughtful, I mean he is blessed because he blesses so many others."

Bob blesses the community through his involvement in Chamber of Commerce activities, the annual Boy Scout cook-out, the Catholic charities food bank, and many other organizations.

Bob Baesler, tells News 10, "I appreciate all the recognition, but at the same time as I said there's no way Baesler's Market could do anything if it didn't have the support of the community through our customers and then the support for them through our employees."

Employees of Baeslers say they're proud of Bob and all the awards he receives.

A great employer, business owner, and community member.  That pretty much sums up Bob even though he'd never tell you that himself.
