Many children in the Wabash Valley may not have a Christmas this year. But you can help give some of them a gift they will remember forever.
WTHI-TV 10, Exchange Club of Terre Haute, First Financial Bank, and HI-99 collected your monetary donations all day long on Friday, November 20, for the 2009 Bikes for Tykes campaign.
Your donations go to the purchase of bicycle kits, which are then assembled by Rose-Hulman students.
Fifty dollars will cover the cost of a bicycle and a safety helmet for each child. However, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated by all those involved.
"Many of our parents will even break down in tears because they know that they can't get their child any gift for Christmas and this may be the only gift they get this year. So it's a very worthwhile project," principal at Sarah Scott Middle School Mark Miller said.
If you'd like to make a donation, stop by any First Financial Bank or download the form above. With your help, we'll make the holiday season a little brighter for as many needy children as donations allow!
