WTHI-TV Earns 12 Emmy Nominations

TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) - The 48th Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations were announced Tuesday with WTHI-TV receiving 12 nominations, including the Emmy’s highest honor - Station Excellence.

“It’s an honor for News 10 to be recognized for “Leading the Way” in the Wabash Valley. These nominations reflect the daily dedication, determination and drive of our entire news team,” said Todd Weber, WTHI-TV vice president and general manager.

The nominations include:

  • Spot News: Chaos Outside the Courthouse, Dan Klein
  • Feature News Report – Single Story: Haunted Moggers, John Timm & Message in a Bottle, Mike Latta
  • Societal Concerns: Meth Valley, U.S.A., Dan Klein
  • Sports – News: A Wounded Warrior, Rick Semmler & John Timm & Indiana State University Football, John Timm
  • Special Achievement: Station Excellence: Leading the Way, WTHI-TV
  • Special Achievement: Community Service: Leading the Way, WTHI-TV
  • Reporter: Reporter Composite, Dan Klein
  • Editor – News: Haunted Moggers, John Timm
  • Editor – Sports: Sports Editing Compilation, John Timm
  • Photographer – Sports: Sports Photographer Compilation, John Timm

“I’m so proud of the entire News 10 team,” said Susan Dinkel, WTHI-TV news director. “We all have an investment in these nominations and to receive this stamp of approval from our television peers is humbling.”

The 48th Annual Emmy Awards will be announced Saturday, July 28th at Belterra Casino, Resort and Spa in Switzerland County, Indiana.
