Patrece came to News 10 in May 1988. This was her first job out of college after graduating from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

She started out as a general assignment reporter during the weekdays. Patrece was promoted only two months later to weekend co-anchor, and then as co-anchor for News 10 Nightwatch a year after her weekend position. Another year went by when she was given the 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Patrece is involved in many volunteer organizations such as Terre Haute Women's Club "Shoe Bus" program that gives free shoes and socks to needy Vigo County School children, United Cerebral Palsy Annual Telethon, Children's Miracle Network Telethon host and middle school tutor for the Vigo County School Corporation.

In 2009, Patrece was given the Athena award from the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, which is awarded to a person who has demonstrated excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession.
