spark.. and the sycamores have found some help in a guy from right here in terre haute.. former south brave matt deady has seen a lot more minutes in the last four games.. the redshirt freshman is a walk-on who's earned his playing time this season.. deady isn't stuffing the stat sheet by any means.. but he's come off the bench and made some key contributions for the sycamores.. he played 20 minutes in i-s-u's loss saturday to loyola.. which is the most playing time he's seen all season.. he had five points.. five rebounds and two steals against the top team in the league.. sycamore head coach greg lansing says deady has worked hard to earn his spot .. always plays with great effort. he's not one of your leading scorers. he's not going to get a lot of shots. but what he does is he brings something to the table with his effort. he's going to fly in there, devil may care. when he comes in there, he's going to make something happen. he's going to give absolutely everything he can. that's why he's getting minutes. that's why he's going to play ahead of some of those guys who are scholarship guys. he goes in there and empties his tank and competes at a high level. after losing three straight games to top 25 teams.. the indiana hoosiers
