PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Changes have been approved for one Wabash Valley School Corporation.

The North Central Parke Community School Corporation board met on Thursday.

The board moved forward with their plans to consolidate Rockville and Turkey Run Junior and Senior High Schools.

Trustees voted to approve recommendations from a subcommittee.

This includes being renamed Parke Heritage High School and Middle School.

Leaders also approved a new mascot and school colors.

They will be called the Parke Heritage Wolves.

In November, team members will begin to focus on choosing a school fight song.
